Shark Charters:
Shark fishing excursions run to Stellwagon Bank, Wildcat and other offshore waters. Sharks generally arrive in July and remain until November. The most prevalent shark in New England waters are Blue Sharks. However, there are also Maco, Thresher, or Pourbeagle Sharks which we commonly encounter.

All Shark excursions are full day trips approximately 10 hours in duration.

We fish for sharks by drifting and putting out a chum slick. We usually put 3 to 4 rods out; one with a live bluefish and 2 or 3 with bluefish fillets at different depths. We use stand up gear to catch sharks (penn 50s) giving the angler a fight to remember. The average fight on a shark can range from 25 to 45 minutes but we've had them last up to 2 hours.

At the end of the day the Mate fillets all fish. The Sea Fever is fortunate to have an experienced and knowledgeable Mate who works extremely hard to provide you with the most rewarding day at sea. It is customary to provide the Mate with a gratuity of 18-20% of the overall trip cost.
