Tuna Charters:
Tuna trips run to Cape Cod Bay, Stellwagon Bank and other offshore waters. Tuna arrive in July and stay until November. We offer two different types of Tuna fishing trips, Schooled Tuna and Giant Tuna.

All Tuna charters are full day trips running approximately 10 hours. Provided in the charter fee is all bait and quality PENN tackle.

Schooled Tuna
When we fish for schooled tuna we troll 5 to 6 rods using squid bars. Squid bars splash along the surface of the water giving exciting top water action. We fish for schooled tuna with stand up gear (penn 50s) giving the angler an unforgettable fight. Schooled tuna range in size from 20 to 200 lbs., and their is always a chance at hooking into a giant while school fishing.

This 07' season we are allowed to keep 3 fish two 47'' and up and one 27'' or less. Book soon and load up on Tuna steaks.

Giant Tuna
We fish for giants by anchoring up and live-lining bluefish on penn 130s and fight them out of the rod holder. Most of the giant fishing is done on Stellwagon Bank and down the back side of the Cape. A giant must be at least 73" in length and can weigh up to 1,000 lbs., the fight on a giant can take anywhere from one to six hours. Any Giant Tuna caught will be sold and the charter will receive 1/3 of the profit.

You may also request our mixed charters with the option of 2 of the following: 1/2 day Cod, 1/2 day Shark, 1/2 day Tuna, 1/2 day Stripper.

At the end of the day the Mate fillets all fish. The Sea Fever is fortunate to have an experienced and knowledgeable Mate who works extremely hard to provide you with the most rewarding day at sea. It is customary to provide the Mate with a gratuity of 18-20% of the overall trip cost.
